A SWEET CELEBRATION FOR OUR MOTHERS With gratitude and joy, we celebrate the incredible women in our church family who nurture, guide, and love so faithfully. Your quiet strength, prayers, and daily acts of care reflect God’s heart in beautiful ways. Today, we have a few small surprises planned during the service—but we’re not done yet! After the service, we warmly invite all our mothers to the foyer, where we’ll continue celebrating you with sweet treats and a time of appreciation.
BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS! Today we celebrate Piper Price—may your special day be filled with joy, sweet moments, and God’s loving care. In the week ahead, we extend heartfelt wishes to Lynae Kiers, Serenity Lintan, Jonathon Mallard, Karen Stefanovic, Nora Bishop, Anthony Deibert, Jenny Nickel, Selah Reimche, Sandile Dzingirayi, Judith Phuthi, Mykhail Khrushchelov, and Dreyden Schlecht. May the year ahead be marked by new joys, steady peace, and many reminders of God’s faithfulness.
AS WE CELEBRATE MOTHER’S DAY this weekend, we are reminded that being a mom is an important calling, and God’s Word gives us guidance on how to do it well. A godly mom knows her words have the power to build up or to tear down those around her. She seeks to honor God in her conversations, avoids gossip, and speaks well of others. She builds her children up by understanding their individual needs and the unique gifts God has given each of them. “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” — Proverbs 31:26. By faithfully following Jesus, you will build a strong relationship with your children and family—on Mother’s Day and every day. ~ Your Health Ministry Team

Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. Exodus 40:24
Late last year, I decided that I wanted to really sit in the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Bible) to give myself a refreshed foundation of the Bible. I have always known that I loved the book of Exodus, but something became more apparent to me this time around. Now, please be patient with me, because this may seem like a very obvious fact.
Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting.
This moment didn’t come out of nowhere.
By the time we get to verse 24, Scripture has shown us a long and layered story of a God who creates, who walks with His people, and one who does not abandon His people. From the garden in Genesis, where God’s presence was close and unbroken, to the generations that followed, there has always been this quiet and steady movement of God drawing near.
Then Exodus.
People in slavery. A God who hears. A deliverance that is personal. However, freedom wasn’t the end of the story; it was the beginning of more. God wasn’t just rescuing his people from something; He was leading them into something.
Into a relationship.
Into the covenant.
Into a new way of living.
Into His presence.
The instructions for the tabernacle (the tabernacle, the materials, and the details that felt easy to skip past), take on a new meaning. It wasn’t about perfection; it was about obedience and preparation. It was all about a group of people who were learning how to live in a way that welcomes the holiness of God into their midst.
When they followed those instructions, when they built what God had asked for,
Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting.
God’s presence didn’t stay far; it came near. It rested among them. It went with them.
May you feel the presence of God each day. May God tabernacle over you at home, at work, in your car, at the grocery store, etc. May you become aware of who God is and that His presence walks with you.
~ from Pastor Dennalia’s heart
