The Adventurer Club is building our volunteer team for the upcoming club year, and we need people with all kinds of gifts. BEWARE OF THE WASPS! “What to do” & “What not to do”? Do: They will likely leave you alone if you stand still, when approached by one. Wear shirts that tuck in. Scout around during the day, to find the nest, but only “wasp spray” their nest in the evening or early morning, when they are less active. Only use one that sprays at least 10 ft away, & have an escape route planned. Carefully knock down & destroy nest, after entire nest is soaked with wasp spray, but do not spray with water, as that makes them very mad! Do not swat at them or flail & run. They can be very aggressive! Wasps build honeycomb-looking nests, often under the eves of a structure, & hornets prefer trees, while larger yellow-jackets build their nests in the ground & they are harder to find. Wasps, hornets & yellow jackets can sting you multiple times! Honey Bees are entirely different creatures & are generally peaceful unless you threaten them. Bees can only sting you once. Honey represents healing in the Bible! Proverbs 16:24 says, “Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and health to the bones.” ~ Your Health Ministry Team

CAAA ANNUAL FAMILY RETREAT – SEPT. 4–7 The Caribbean Association of Adventists in Alberta (CAAA) will be having their annual retreat at Foothills camp from September 4th to 7th, 2026. CELEBRATION OF LIFE Lloyd Patzer’s Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Beiseker SDA Church Hall.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE Service for Thelma Duffy, long time member of the College Heights Church, will be held on Sunday, August 23, at 2 pm in the Lacombe Community Church. Thelma passed away on July 14 and her family would welcome all her friends and acquaintances to this service.
