What does it mean to be a people of reconciliation?
As we continue through Truth and Reconciliation Month, College Heights Church invites you to a Sabbath of worship, reflection, honest conversation, and hope. This Sabbath is an opportunity to pause, listen, and consider how our faith calls us to live differently in a world shaped by both brokenness and the possibility of restoration.
Our special guest speaker, Pr. Brad Dennis, will lead us through the theme “From Image Bearer to Empire Builder.” His message will invite us to think about the difference between the way God created humanity to live—with dignity, relationship, and care for one another—and the ways power, self-interest, and systems can distort that calling.
A Sabbath to listen and learn
Truth and reconciliation is not simply about looking back. It is also about asking what we do today.
As Christians, we believe every person is created in the image of God. That belief carries a profound responsibility: to recognize the dignity of others, to listen to stories that may be different from our own, and to seek relationships marked by respect, humility, justice, and love.
This Sabbath gives us space to do exactly that.

The conversation continues at 3:00 PM with a special workshop at the Social Eyez Building:
“Reconciling a Debt: What Is in Your House?”
The title invites a deeply personal question. Before we can participate in reconciliation, are we willing to look honestly at what we carry with us—our history, assumptions, experiences, privileges, wounds, and responsibilities?
Reconciliation begins with truth. And sometimes truth begins with simply being willing to listen.
Come with an open heart
Whether you have been part of conversations about Truth and Reconciliation for years or are just beginning to explore what it means, you are warmly invited to join us.

Come to ask questions.
Come ready to see more clearly—and perhaps to discover a new way of living out the calling of Christ.
