Burman University, College Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church, and the City of Lacombe are happy to provide our community with the benefits of a garden. This program provides opportunities to grow healthy foods, meet new people, and enjoy the outdoors.

Location
The garden is located on University Drive near the entrance to Casey's Cabin.
Gardener Guidelines
- Be Neighborly: Respect plot boundaries and be considerate.
- Weeds & Waste: Keep plots weed-free and waste-free. Use the GREEN COMPOST BIN for waste.
- Cleanup: Remove all stakes, tools, and growth by Sept 30 (subject to change with frost conditions).
- Pets: No pets inside the fence. Leashed pets only outside.
- Chemicals: No herbicides or pesticides. Chemical fertilizers are allowed.
- Water: Use water sparingly; bring your own pail/tools.
*By applying, gardeners agree to use the plot at their own risk and release organizers from liability.

Apply & Pay
Plot size is 10 feet by 20 feet. Applicants may apply for more than one plot.
Annual plot rental is $25. Plots will be assigned after an application form and payment are received. Applicants will be notified by email or phone.
Garden availability and preparation:
- The garden will be rotor-tilled and ready for planting. Weather permitting, you should have access to your plot after May 15, 2026.
- Gardeners will have access 24/7.
- A water tank is on site, at no additional cost, water is supplied by the City of Lacombe.
- Garden area is fenced, providing protection from wild animals.

You can share your gardening experience, successes and failures with others and learn from other gardeners. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a deeper connection to nature while improving your gardening skills.
College Heights Community Garden is governed by ten volunteers, residents of the Lacombe area. The volunteers are committed to providing a high standard for gardening and contributing their expertise for improvement in the community.
The Governing Committee is thankful for the monetary gifts and hours of labour contributed by community members.
