A family friendly event, open to the community, April 3, starting at 4PM and ending at approximately 7:30 PM. Mobility assistance will be provided.

SECRET SISTERS! Be sure to stop by the Secret Sisters’ table to pick up your envelope and discover the name of your new secret sister for the upcoming year! Let the fun begin—pray for her, encourage her, and find creative ways to brighten her days with kindness and love. You never know how much your small gestures can mean!

COMMUNION SABBATH – APRIL 4 Next Sabbath we will celebrate Communion—a special time to reflect on Christ’s love and sacrifice. We warmly invite everyone to join us in this meaningful fellowship as we come together to worship, remember, and rejoice in His grace.

COMMUNION SABBATH HOME VISITS If you’re unable to attend church on Communion Sabbath afternoon (April 4), our team of caring elders would be happy to bring the communion emblems to your home. To arrange a visit, please contact church office at [email protected] or 403-782-61-31 by March 31. We’d love to serve you and share this special time together!

May the year before you be marked by peace, renewed strength, and many reminders of God’s faithful love.

“GET OUT THE MOP AND BUCKET”! It is time for a mental spring cleaning, to clear your mind for sunnier days ahead! When you clean up & clear out your home, it turns out you clean up your mental state too. Research has shown that being around clutter reduces the brain’s processing ability, so that people in disorganized spaces are less productive. When people tidy things up, they show improved motivation & a better focus. A clean kitchen, tidy bedroom, organized office, & a smoother work day…We call that “a win-win”! Sorting through, reorganizing, throwing out, donating & recycling items that don’t serve you anymore, can feel freeing! It leaves more room for things that spark joy & pleasure. “If it doesn’t spark joy, it is time to let it go.” Psalm 51:10 quotes: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, & renew a right spirit within me.”~ Your Health Ministry Team

SAVE THE DATE Church Potluck – Everyone Welcome! Join us for a special church-wide potluck on Saturday, April 25 at the CHCS Gym! Everyone is warmly invited to participate. If you’re able, please bring a main dish, a small salad, a dessert. Buns and juice will be provided. We look forward to a joyful time of connection, delicious food, and community. See you there!

SHARE YOUR ANNOUNCEMENT Have something to share with our church family? We welcome announcements for our weekly bulletin, including ministry updates, community events, and special celebrations. Submit here by Wednesday at noon to be included in the upcoming Sabbath bulletin (space permitting).

The first week of spring has been an interesting one—especially if you’ve just moved to Alberta. One day feels warm and promising, and the next brings fresh snow. But for those who have lived here a little longer, we know that spring doesn’t truly settle in until after the May long weekend.

This past weekend, we also had Global Youth Day, where many of our youth came together to serve our community. They visited people, handing out cards, cookies, and carnations. Carnations are often seen as symbols of love, admiration, and care—simple flowers that carry a meaningful message. As I joined the youth in their visits, I was struck by how much these small gestures meant, not only to those receiving them, but to the youth themselves. There was a genuine sense of joy and connection.

Even though the weather may not fully reflect it yet, spring is still on its way. In the meantime, we can create that same sense of warmth and renewal in our relationships, sharing care and kindness as we wait for the flowers to bloom.

Deuteronomy 32:2 “Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.”

~ from Pastor Ryan’s heart
