Burman University and Parkview Adventist Academy exist today because, many decades ago,
a light was kindled on the Hilltop. A light fueled by faith, learning, and a vision for what God
could do through this community. What began as a small flame has continued to burn brightly
through generations of leaders, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends who carried that light
forward with dedication and purpose. That light is not confined to our campuses, it continues to
shine across communities, churches, professions, and nations around the world through the lives
of those who were shaped here. Today, we are going to reflect on the role of being lights on the
hilltop, and how God continues to use this place as a beacon whose light reaches far beyond what
its founders could have imagined.

BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS! Today we send our warmest wishes to Timothy Stefaniv and Tena Zazulak. As you mark another year, may God bless you with good health, renewed strength, and many reasons to rejoice in His faithfulness.

FIND JOY IN GOD’S CREATION Have you ever been inside working all day and suddenly felt the need to take a break? Most of the time, we head outdoors for a walk and a quick change of scenery. Spending time in nature can give you a fresh perspective. It might be as simple as enjoying the sunshine on your face or listening to the wind rustling through the trees. Being in contact with nature is associated with increased happiness, positive social interactions with friends and family, a greater sense of meaning and purpose in life, and reduced mental distress. If you are feeling out of sorts and looking for a way to boost your mood, spend more time outdoors in God’s creation! As Psalm 144:15 reminds us, “Happy are the people whose God is the Lord.” ~ Your Health Ministry Team

THE PARKLAND PATHFINDER CLUB has purchased an enclosed trailer. This has significantly reduced their operating expenses and so they are seeking sponsors to help purchase 4 tires, or assist in its repainting. To make donations see pastors, treasurer, or pathfinder director.

FATHER’S DAY CANOEING & BBQ — SUNDAY, JUNE 21 Our Father’s Day Canoeing & BBQ outreach for the City of Lacombe is coming soon, and we would love your help! It takes many willing hands to make this community event run smoothly. Volunteers are needed for the beach area, food service, registration, face painting, setup, and takedown. So help us do the project right! To volunteer or learn more, please contact Ken Sheffield at 403-357-4610.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE Don Sands passed away on May 4, 2026. His family invites the church family and friends to a Celebration of Life in his memory on Monday, June 15 at 1:30 p.m. at Ellis Nature Centre. A short memorial service will be followed by nature activities in honour of Don Sands.
