A MIRACLE OF “UNCONDITIONAL LOVE” happened on December 24, 1914, in the middle of a freezing battlefield in France. British troops watched in amazement as candle-lit Christmas trees began to appear above the German trenches. A young soldier with the London Regiment wrote in his diary: from the German trenches, a rich baritone voice began to sing a song. The grave and tender voice rose out of the frozen mist—it was like being in another world, one entered through a nightmare. An unofficial truce spread across the front lines as they sang Christmas carols:
“Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright,
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child,
Holy Infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.”
“Faith, hope, and love—but the greatest of these is love.” — 1 Corinthians 13:13 ~ Your Health Ministry Team

Happy New Year, Church,
I really want to say something deeply loving and motivational to start off your year, but I’m choosing to be vulnerable and honest.
Last year was hard.
This year… I have no idea.
What I do know is that God is good, and He has always been good. When things made sense, He was good. When things were chaotic, He was good. When I was dancing, He was good. When I was mourning, He was good. I know for sure that God has been good, He is good, and He will always be good.
His goodness is not dependent on how we feel or what is going on. It is based on His faithfulness to Himself. It is rooted in the promises He has made and kept since His word went out.
My prayer is that you experience and receive the goodness of God this year. Scripture says, “SURELY goodness and mercy shall follow me.” Not maybe. Not dependent on circumstances. But surely goodness and mercy will follow me.
“Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” — Psalm 23:6 (NIV)
As you walk, may you see goodness following you. As you crawl along, may you feel God’s mercy keeping up with you.
Have an amazing year, College Heights Family 🤍
~ from Pastor Dennalia’s heart
