GOOD HEALTH AND CHRISTMAS MUSIC go hand in hand—festive tunes boost mental well-being by reducing stress, sparking happy memories, and improving mood. While upbeat carols can energize workouts, slower ballads aid relaxation and focus, helping to reduce stress and anxiety. Cheerful and familiar holiday songs may even lower cortisol levels, decrease heart rate, and improve overall mood. “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” — Luke 2:10. Oh, tidings of comfort and joy! Sending Christmas blessings to each and every one of you. ~ Your Health Ministry Team

It is the last Sabbath before Christmas, and this is truly one of my favorite times of the year. Christmas is a season when family and friends come together, creating moments of warmth and connection. As the weather grows colder, being close to loved ones feels even more comforting, as we gather not only to stay warm physically but also to strengthen our relationships.
One of my most memorable Christmases took place in 2011, when my family traveled to Mississippi to spend the holiday with relatives and friends. Although we had many plans, nearly everything fell through. We did not exchange presents, and we spent very little time with family on Christmas Day itself. At the time, it did not feel especially festive, and it certainly was not what we had imagined. However, that experience taught me an important lesson: it takes very little to enjoy the true meaning of the season and to praise God.
While the trip was not perfect, it was not a failure either. I was still able to meet my oldest sister and her family for New Year’s, which became a meaningful blessing.
This season reminds me that Christmas does not need to be perfect. Often, the unplanned and messy moments leave the deepest impact, drawing us closer to one another and strengthening our faith in God.
“I will praise the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.” – Psalm 34:1
